The Prize
This is truly a fantastic opportunity to win an original watercolour painting from award-winning, acclaimed wildlife and nature artist, Rachel Toll. Inspired by the natural beauty of her home in Devon, Rachel's art is unique and highly sought after. She has exhibited at The Royal Institute of Painters, The Wildlife Artist of the Year Exhibition, and her work graces the walls of Lympstone Manor, Devon, where she also hosts the occasional watercolour classes
The Cause
I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friends, Abdulaziz and Feras, and their respective families—all of whom are living in Gaza.
My dear friend, Abdulaziz, is just 19, and one of the kindest, most gentle, empathetic souls I know—not to mention incredibly courageous, humble, caring, and giving of himself—helping others, even though he is suffering himself—both physically, from starvation and malnourishment, but also emotionally, due to continuing—and past trauma. He lives with his parents and younger siblings (one of whom, can no longer walk due to the weakness caused by severe malnourishment), in the Southern Gaza Strip having been displaced by the occupation after their home was bombed, I am in awe of how someone of such a tender age, subjected to the most unimaginable horrors and torture, has retained such compassion, faith and inner strength.
Feras is another dear friend of mine I have had the privilege of getting to know over the course of this year. Feras is a gentle and creative soul, aged 27, who before the war, worked in fashion design. Feras has both parents and younger siblings to support, and additionally - two brothers, and four of his brother's children dependent on him for their survival. Despite his daily efforts to keep himself and his family safe - to find them food and temporary shelter, he always makes the time to write to me every day without fail. Regardless of his suffering, he ALWAYS goes out of his way to ask how I am.
Both Abdulaziz, Feras, and their respective families, are desperately hungry, thirsty, severely malnourished, and lacking basic sanitation, medical care and shelter. Furthermore, both families are facing displacement yet again—despite there no longer being any space left to pitch a tent—let alone, afford one at $1500 per tent!

To enter this fabulous competition, one entry costs just £5, and there is no limit to the number of entries you purchase; obviously, the more entries you purchase, the greater the chances of winning! The prize draw opens on Thursday, 28th August, 2025 and closes at midnight on Saturday, 13th September, 2025.
