Pelorus and the Pelorus Foundation, in collaboration with our key partners in Madagascar, have joined forces to create the ultimate prize draw, which is worth £15,000 and is aimed at raising funds to support critical conservation projects.
Madagascar is truly unique, renowned for its lush and diverse ecosystems and recognised as one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. It is the only place where you can observe lemurs in the wild, with over 100 species, alongside countless other unique creatures that cannot be found anywhere else.
With a strong focus on eco-tourism, Madagascar is a haven for conservation-minded travellers, allowing visitors to contribute to the protection of its endangered species and fragile ecosystems. Unlike many other destinations, Madagascar remains relatively uncrowded and off the beaten path, offering an authentic sense of adventure and discovery.
This prize trip will take you through keys regions of Madagascar, beginning with your arrival night in the capital and cultural heart, Antananarivo. Here you will have a morning to explore the city with your guide before setting off for your onward adventure.
From there, you’ll travel to the east coast for a three night stay to explore the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park region. This area is home to 14 species of lemur, including the iconic Indri Indri, and offers exceptional wildlife viewing and hiking opportunities with professional guides, providing a deeper understanding of these endangered species.
Your journey will then take you to the west coast of Madagascar, with internal flights provided by Madagascar Trans Air, to a beautiful peninsula and private reserve.
Here, you will enjoy a luxurious five night stay at Anjajavy Le Lodge, a Relais & Châteaux property. This stunning property offers guests access to a 1,030-hectare private reserve, featuring seven diverse habitats including baobab trees, mangrove forests, and pristine wild beaches. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area’s marine life, unique flora and fauna, and experience the traditional way of life.

- Mitsinjo Reserve Night Walk with guide, giving you the opportunity to discover the nocturnal wildlife of the Andasibe Rainforest. The reserve is a community initiative started by a Malagasy NGO which works in conservation, nature-based tourism and development. Being one of the biodiversity hotspots of the eastern Madagascar rainforest corridor, it integrates the protection of prime habitat and the generation of sustainable income for the local population living in and around Andasibe.
- Visit and hiking through Andasibe-Mantadia National Park with guide, known for 14 species of lemur, incredible fauna and flora and 108 different bird species. The primary forest of the Mantadia Park spreads over 15 000 hectares and plays a vital role in the survival of unique plant and animal species.
- Visit Andasibe Village with guide, to witness the daily life of this calm and colourful village. With your guide, you will walk in the narrow and unpaved cobbled streets along the small stalls and have the chance to interact with local villagers and see how they make a living and occupy their free time.
- Visit to Analamazaotra special reserve , leaving the hotel early for hiking in search of Madagascar’s biggest and most famous lemur, the “Indri Indri”, as well as other lemur species, chameleons, birds and learn about the unique
medical plants and flora in the reserve. - Return domestic flights: Antananarivo -Anjajavy – Antananarivo
- Meet and greet upon arrival at the domestic airport and assistance on domestic
