Website: Llanerchydol Hall
Llanerchydol Hall (Grade II*) is a magnificent, gothic, turreted mansion with a rich history dating back to the 1700s. It is situated in a magical landscape, of Grade II* listed Repton designed parkland, only minutes from the long distance footpath, Glyndwr’s Way. There are specimen trees here-Sequoias, Cedars and a Dawn Redwood which was thought to be extinct until it's rediscovery in the 1950s. In the summer, you can hear the steam train on its way, up the valley, hooting at Powis Castle. In the winter, it is the owl’s domain. There are spectacular night skies, unspoilt by pollution, and the Welsh mountains beckon.

The Cause
Llanerchydol Hall was built in 1776, the seat of David Pugh, eminent tea-trader and politician. It was bought by friends, Ben, Des and Raj, 14 months ago.
Llanerchydol Hall itself had been abandoned since 2005, and allowed to fall into disuse. The Stables and Clocktower, at the rear of the Hall have been derelict for countless decades, the ramshackle tin roof leaks, it is structurally unsound and water has destroyed the fabric of the building.
Stable Block, inside and out:
This appeal is to raise funds for Phase 2, to help restore the East Wing of Llanerchydol Hall.
The East Wing has had leaks, and has mouldy walls. It needs a heating system, drainage and renovation.
As we are not a charity, there is little in the way of funding available to us, hence our appeal to you.
Our ultimate aim is to preserve the magnificent Welsh heritage that makes up the whole of Llanerchydol Hall, and allow other people to access and enjoy it, too, and provide it with a sustainable future to protect it, moving forwards.
We want to provide a nurturing environment for visitors to draw inspiration from, and commune with nature. The parkland setting of the Hall provides a perfect space to breathe and escape from the pressures of modern living. In the longer term, we aspire to provide retreats and workshops to help people; (eg. Meditation, yoga….); provide exhibition space for Welsh artists, in addition to boutique accommodation, and a tearoom.
Would you be kind enough to consider helping us? You could win a fabulous experience, too!
