The Prize
The winner's stay will be in The Cottage in the South Hams town of Kingsbridge, a perfect holiday retreat for families or couples, and a "guest favourite" on Airbnb. Sitting at the head of the Salcombe-Kingsbridge estuary, Kingsbridge is a picturesque market town in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and close to many wonderful beaches.
Centrally located on a side alley, our newly refurbished barn conversion is in a peaceful location yet a stone's throw from Kingsbridge high street and the many shops and eateries that it offers, from Michelin dining to cosy pubs.
Kingsbridge is the ideal location to explore the South Hams; located at the tip of the estuary and so with easy access to both sides of the coast and the variety of wonderful beaches on offer. The coastal towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are close by, as is Totnes, and Dartmoor National Park a great destination for walking.
The Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably and up to two dogs are welcome. Originally a barn, the house has been lovingly refurbished offering a modern, comfortable space, with an open plan living area, three bedrooms, one family bathroom, an ensuite, and a private courtyard.
The 4 night stay can be claimed any time (subject to availability) outside of school holidays.

The Cause
Sarah's family and friends have set up this fundraising page on behalf of Sarah, her husband Simon and their three gorgeous boys, William, George and Hugo. We are raising funds to support memory making; to enable Sarah and her family to enjoy experiences with the precious time they have. Please show your support by entering this prize draw.
Sarah's story:
Our world fell apart on 13th March 2023. Sarah went to A&E thinking she might have meningitis, but the MRI scan revealed significant abnormalities and swelling on her brain. Following a biopsy and after a very agonising wait, we received the shocking news that Sarah has an aggressive brain tumour, known as a high-grade astrocytoma. Sarah had only just turned 40 and has three young boys and so as you can imagine, the news rocked all of our worlds. Sadly, the prognosis for anyone with high-grade astrocytoma isn’t good. For further information see: https://www.thebraintumourcharity.org/brain-tumour-diagnosis-treatment/types-of-brain-tumour-adult/astrocytoma/
Sarah is undergoing treatment to try and slow down the progression of her tumour and to extend her life for as long as possible. Treatment is hard-going and Sarah spends the weeks she is undergoing chemo unwell, but in the time outside of chemo she is still able to enjoy family time.
Please help us to raise funds for Sarah so that she can enjoy experiences with her family that will help build memories. Sarah has dedicated her career to working in the NHS and local authorities in Public Health, leading on the covid-19 pandemic response for Public Health Devon between 2020-23. She has spent her life helping others, now is the time to help her and her family.
Thank you so much for your love and support - this means the world to Sarah, Simon and the boys.
