On 7 May 2026, we can win three Green councillors in Streatham St Leonards. Help us get there!
Residents of Streatham are rightly proud of, and grateful for, their current hardworking, values driven, dedicated and committed Councillors - Nicole, Martin & Scott. They say how happy they are to have hard-working Green councillors who listen and do their utmost to help.
With local elections on May 7th we hope to keep Streatham Green!
The Green Party does not accept funding from big business and relies on donations from local members & supporters so, please donate to our campaign if you are able in order to retain three Green seats in St Leonard's ward.

We have three incredibly talented candidates in Alice, Saiqa and Scott who will continue to listen to and serve the people who elect them to the very best of their ability.
The Greens are expecting to win many council seats in May, paving the way to introducing more Green policy and values into local politics and bringing hope back to politics.
Our values are embedded in true democracy, fairness and justice. These values underpin our policies, such as a fairer tax system – taxing the 1% of the population who own nearly 50% of the wealth in the UK, and replacing council tax with a land value tax.
Locally, Greens have made a real difference in Lambeth. A Motion was passed in 2019, declaring a Climate and Ecological emergency, obliging the Labour run council to put environmental sustainability at the heart of all they do. Our values of social, racial and climate justice have impacted the current administration – steering them in a direction towards more equitable outcomes for all.
But where the Labour administration pays lip service, Greens will take action.
With more Green councillors elected we will really make a difference.
Over the years, Green Councillors have consistently held the Labour administration to account on decision making, procurement issues and proposed cuts in spending - one example being the disastrous Homes for Lambeth which has cost the council over £100 million with only a handful of council owned homes to show for it.

Saiqa Ali
Saiqa is a humanitarian, community leader, and founder of Southern Women’s Aid Network (SWAN). With over 20 years of frontline service in Lambeth and beyond, she has dedicated her life to supporting vulnerable families, tackling food poverty, assisting survivors of domestic violence, responding to humanitarian crises worldwide and finding sustainable solutions to address poverty and inequality for women and girls.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Saiqa led emergency relief efforts across South London boroughs, coordinating volunteers, delivering food and medicine, and ensuring isolated residents were not left behind.
Under her leadership, SWAN has grown into a multi-million pound grassroots charity operating in 9 countries. Providing support in London and internationally, including humanitarian aid in conflict/disaster-affected regions and a number of women and girls focused sustainable development projects
Saiqa is driven by justice, compassion, and a deep commitment to restoring dignity and hope to those in need.
Cllr Scott Ainslie
Scott has lived in Streatham for 30 years and brought his children up here. He’s a long-term activist, working hard to help make Streatham safer, fairer, cleaner and greener for all. He co-founded Sustainable Streatham, has sat on Streatham Action Forum and been a Streatham St. Leonard’s councilor for 12 years.
Dr Alice Weavers
Alice is a youth worker and has seen first hand the devastating impact of austerity on services and opportunities for young people. Alice wants to make Lambeth a thriving borough for all communities and believes this can happen if more Green Party councillors are elected in May.

Unlike other political parties, Greens rely on people power and individual, grass roots support as we do not accept donations from large organisations or those who cannot prove they pay their fair share of UK tax.
Please note: if you wish to donate more than £500 in a year, you must be a citizen of the UK and on the UK electoral roll. Donations over £500 from any ineligible donor will be returned.
Promoted by Kevin Brown on behalf of Lambeth Green Party, all at Flat 20, Stambourne House, Lansdowne Way, SW8 2DH.
