Add extra places and more activities.
Access to nature-based activities for children and adults in our local community, to promote wellbeing and combat loneliness.

Add extra places and more activities.
Louise, Paul and team wildandgreensussex.org are crowdfunding to provide access to nature-based activities in our local community at our woodland site in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, Crowborough.
Building on three years of providing Forest School to local children, we now want to bring the health and wellbeing benefits of Forest School and related therapeutic outdoor activities to a wider audience; and to the children and adults who need it most.
How you can help
Funding will enable us to offer free and subsidised places on our existing programmes and to develop a wider offering in the future using our woods and forest garden.
We are part of East Sussex County Council’s funding match-fund initiative, making your pledges of support work twice as hard.
We're so thrilled for your support so far, reaching our first funding milestone in just a few days. We're now focusing on our second milestone, on our path to our overall target of £5,000
We have until 31st August 2023 to reach our target.
Every penny raised will enable us to offer free or subsidised places to local children at Forest School this summer and will enable us to bring on stream our wider community programme. Just £25.00 pays for a child to spend a day at Forest School.
Nurture through nature
Nature plays a vital role in keeping us happy, healthy and able to tackle whatever life throws at us – whatever our age. Our minds and bodies are at home in nature – it’s in our DNA, and modern day neuroscience underpins this fact. Time spent in green spaces promotes wellbeing and emotional recovery. And time spent with others in green spaces fosters community roots and belonging, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
Wild and Green Sussex community activities.
A project with a social conscience.
Objectives:
About us
Wild & Green is run by Louise and Paul of Crowborough.
Louise is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and a highly experienced events professional, producing experiences ranging from small workshops to large-scale outdoor public events and festivals.
Playing an active role in programme delivery, Paul has a charity sector background, running and fundraising for social enterprises.
We aim to keep our programme pricing competitive, working hard to secure grants and funding to make our work delivering forest school activities to all ages as accessible as possible.
We are a limited company with a community ambition, and are in the process of forming a CIC June 23. We employ professional instructors and volunteers. We are fully insured (£5 million public liability / £10 million employers’ liability). Sessions are led by qualified Forest School Level 3 Leaders, with Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding Awareness Training, and Paediatric Forest School First Aid. We carry out full Risk Benefit Assessments on activities and events.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
And thank you for helping us to get this project started!

From one of our parents:
"I just wanted to say a massive Thank You. I was a bit nervous how Freds would be on his first day as he is very shy and doesn’t normally try anything new unless I’m with him. Well, to my surprise he was a different boy when I picked him up on his first day – he had a great time and really came out of his shell and absolutely loved all 3 days. I will def get him booked in again when you next do it. You have all been great and he hasn’t stopped talking about it all week.”
