WIGGINTON – PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT FIND THEMSELVES IN FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
As a result of government advice to lockdown the UK, the primary concern has been health, but people have lost their jobs and may be waiting many weeks to get the promised support from the government. In the meantime, they need to be able to put food on the table and meet daily expenses.
We have established the Wigginton Support Fund to help families and individuals who are really struggling during these very difficult times. You may know of someone or a family in this situation.
Supporting those in need in our community is a priority in this time of crisis. Our village has already responded wonderfully well in helping with delivery of prescriptions, food orders from our shop, checking on neighbours etc.
We are asking you for your help to make a donation to help those in need in our community. Can we go this extra mile?
WHAT WILL THE WIGGINTON SUPPORT FUND BE USED FOR?
Individuals or families residing in Wigginton can apply for grants. Grants issued as vouchers will be given to residents of the parish of Wigginton that find themselves needing support to cover the cost of essential items, such as food and hygiene goods.
HOW WILL EXCESS FUNDS BE MANAGED?
In the event that the appeal generates excess funds which cannot be distributed for the stated COVID-19 purposes, donors agree to their donation being given to the Wigginton Poors Allotment Charity, a registered charity which is established to help people in our community facing hardship.
ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE TREATED WITH THE STRICTEST CONFIDENCE AND DATA COLLECTED WILL ADHERE TO GDPR.
