Aim
We are looking for funding for a grassroots football team to enable us to purchase new kits, jackets for winter and new training equipment.
Who are we?
Wickford Town Football club is a Charity based club that relies on the generosity of the community for funding. Most, if not all of its members are volunteers like myself who help young people from a variety of ages and backgrounds with their journey into football. I began coaching with a couple of other dads from the team who wanted to impart knowledge and experience about 4 years ago. Over time, the other dads stepped back from coaching leaving the team on the verge of disbanding. Determined to keep the boys together as one, and adopting some others who’s team had folded, I remained and took on the role as manger.

Why are we crowdfunding?
I am looking for funding for the team going in to the next season to enable us to buy new kits and clothing for the winter months. I would also like to buy new equipment for training and enhancing the team’s ability. We have struggled to raise funds through sponsorship and have relied on hand-me-downs for kits and equipment.

How we’ll spend the money raised
The funds raised will help buy football kits for the children, this will include Shirts, shorts and socks. Away/ training shirts, winter jackets, hats and gloves. New coaches shirts and jackets. Depending on funds raised we will look to buy new cones, footballs, training aids for fitness and agility.

Community impact
The kits and equipment we currently use have been handed down from team to team as the boys grow and some have far seen their best days. It is warn and tired. I want to offer the boys something to be proud of, looking and feeling like a team and they are cared about.
