To provide a safe place for migrant women with No Recourse to Public Funds fleeing domestic abuse.
We provide refuge accommodation and holistic support for migrant women with No Recourse to Public Funds, fleeing domestic abuse, who due to their immigration status, can't access normal refuge. Our vision is a world without domestic abuse but until then we will work tirelessly to ensure that all women and children fleeing domestic abuse, regardless of the stamp in their passport, have a safe place to go.
Last year we opened our first refuge which houses larger families with up to 5 children and in June 23 we opened our purpose built 6 bed refuge which houses 6 women with up 2 children each.
We have launched ESOL classes and seen many of our women regularlise their immigration status.
As we look to the future, next year we will open a 10 bed refuge for single women with NRPF, fleeing domestic abuse, who have no safety net whatsoever.
The funds we raise will help us ensure that we can meet the needs of our current and future residents and we will be used to get the new refuge ready and to help us continue to provide our holistic support package. This will ensure that our women will take control of their wellbeing by giving them the tools to be more financially independent and ready for resettling safely into society.
