Paul's story is ready to publish. We just need you.
When we publish a new book, we have the most amazing opportunity to purchase 400 copies at half retail price directly from the publisher.
Pre-orders and sales of these books raise vital funds for our charity.
They enable us to continue to develop our existing resources, such as God for Kids app, to create new resources and to distribute these resources to families who might never otherwise read a Christian book.
South Yorkshire & Derbyshire Primary Schools
For the past 18 months we have been visiting local primary schools for Collective Worship and R.E. lessons. We also run a weekly 'prayer club' for Key Stage 1 children in one of these schools.
We hope to be able to offer every school in Sheffield a free visit AND - if we raise enough funds on this Crowdfunder - offer them at least one free book for their school's library.
The DREAM would be to give every child a free colouring book too. That way, they can take home, colour and continue to think about the purpose for which they were made by the awesome, wonderful, Creator God.
Why Do These Books Matter?
When children ask questions about God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit and get NO answer - or even worse they get told to STOP asking questions - it shuts down their natural curiosity and wonder about God. They stop asking questions about God and - more importantly - to God.
Our books encourage children to ask questions about God. They open up the conversation and keep their awareness of God awake and alive in their minds and hearts.
These books lead children to look to the Bible for answers to some of life's toughest questions.
Some questions don't have an easy answer but there is ALWAYS some kind of answer - even if that answer is "What a great question! Let's see what the Bible has to say about it."
The Bible has a lot to say about purpose.
Every child can benefit from knowing that they were made on purpose for a purpose. These are the key verses in our book:
God says ‘I know you,
I think about you
I’m making good plans
For your future, it’s true
For peace, not disaster
And what is your part?
To find me by searching
With all of your heart
Based on Jeremiah 29:11-12 '"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."'
The Story
Paul is a boy with many gifts and talents but playing football is not one of them! He wants to be a part of the team and when he can't find his place he feels left out, rejected and worthless.
"I’m oh so embarrassed, my back’s really sore
I thought I was special, but now I’m not sure"
But that's not the end of the story
Paul is encouraged by God's words in the Bible to keep trying and not to give up. He discovers that the animals can't seem to play without fighting and falling out! Perhaps there's a place for him after all but not in the way that he expected?
