Wigan has always had a problem with Domestic Abuse.
A group of women in Wigan came together during the pandemic wanting to use creativity to change the local story.
With a little support from Lankelly Chase via Greater Manchester System Changers we have worked with Made by Mortals to create Kerri, a fictional character devised by the company, using our skills, imagination and lived experience.
We have created an amazingly powerful trailer, which will be available in August.
We want to work with Made by Mortals to turn the trailer into a Hidden podcast "This is where the story starts" and a workshop so that we can use it as a basis to talk about domestic abuse within communities & with those who manage and commission services on our behalf.

We need £7,500 to make this a reality. We have raised £500 ourselves so far and will carry on raising funds locally. This money will pay for the production of the podcast along with support to enable participation.
We are asking that you may find it in your heart to help us raise the funds to make this happen. This will help us get going with it more quickly and avoid completing applications, creating milestones and thinking about what we might measure.
In return you will be invited to the online premiere of the podcast and get to meet the people behind the scenes, and experience 'This is where the story starts.'
