We're still collecting donations

On the 10th December 2024 we'd raised £620 with 24 supporters in 63 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

I’m the Hobopoet, a poet, nurse, and artist passionate about transforming trauma into healing through the power of words. My journey began as a nurse, where I witnessed firsthand the emotional toll caregiving can take. Over time, I embraced poetry as a tool to process pain, share stories, and connect people to their own healing. 'Whispers from the Waiting Rooms' was born out of this journey—a book that speaks to the quiet strength of nurses and caregivers, offering comfort in the most vulnerable moments.

Our vision is to place 'Whispers from the Waiting Rooms' in the hands of every nurse who seeks solace and support. We aim to provide free copies to nurses globally, with translations to make this healing accessible across cultures. This project is deeply personal, driven by my belief in the power of art to heal.

With the funds raised, we will:

  • Print and distribute copies of the book to nurses worldwide
  • Translate the book into multiple languages
  • Develop workshops and resources that extend the book's message into communities

Images of the book's poetry, art, and moments of healing will accompany this journey, sharing the process and inspiring others to believe in the power of connection.1728387316_the_hatter.jpg
