Wheatley Explorer Belt trip to Poland Oct 22

Aim

Wheatley Explorer Scouts are taking on the 'challenge of a lifetime', hoping to achieve their Explorer Belt on a trip to Poland this October

What is the Explorer Belt?  Scouting UK describe Explorer Belt as 'the challenge of a lifetime'. Explorers must undertake a 10-day expedition as part of a team outside of the UK with a minimum travelling time of 50 hours over the 10 days, by foot, cycle, horse, canoe, boat or dinghy.

Who is doing it? 7 Explorer Scouts from Acquisition Explorers, Wheatley have been planning for almost a year to travel round Germany and Poland. Despite the unforeseen challenges of planning a trip to Europe at this time, they have been working hard on fundraising, planning their trip and the projects they will complete whilst there.

They have done amazingly well with many fundraising events including making crafts for sale at Christmas fairs, Easter Egg Bingo, gardening, a quiz and  serving strawberries and candy floss at a Jubilee event.

They would be grateful for any donations to help them reach their target and get them to Germany and Poland this Autumn!

This project successfully funded on 30th July 2022
