Aim

We are a group of five students raising funds for our five minute short film, What Remains of Dawn.

While celebrating her deceased friend's birthday in an empty graveyard, a heartbroken woman's wish to say goodbye comes true.

What Remains of Dawn is an emotional drama, written by Giada Cleary, that will pull at your heartstrings. Cantered around the pain of loss and lack of closure, this film acts as a voice for those who never had the chance to say goodbye.

The Story

Amber spends Dawn's birthday in a graveyard, downcast and alone, with only a messy cake and half-drunk bottle of wine for company. What she doesn't know is that the spirit of her late friend, Dawn, has come to join her.

As Amber lights Dawn's candles, she unexpectedly sees Dawn’s ghost sitting before her. Shock turns to anger as Amber lashes out, confronting Dawn about her death and the pain she's carried since. But Dawn, ever patient, listens without judgment. She reveals that she has never truly left Amber’s side, offering her the closure she has longed for.

As they share their final moments together, the two women find comfort and understanding, parting ways with tears as the night fades into morning.

This short film is a touching exploration of grief, healing, and the enduring bonds of friendship. Your support will help bring this emotional journey to life, giving audiences a chance to reflect on the power of closure and the lasting impact of loved ones, even after they’re gone.

Supporting a film like this allows for future projects to continue reaching audiences who feel alone, uplifting their voices and creating communities for those who need it most.

Join us in making this heartfelt story a reality.
