We're still collecting donations

On the 1st November 2024 we'd raised £17,192 with 115 supporters in 83 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Who are we?

Westleigh Cricket Club are at the heart of the community around Westleigh and the greater area, offering a place for all to socialise and play cricket from All Stars to Senior Level.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Over the last 15 years, the pavilion has been developed from an ageing cricket club bar area into a fully functioning, twenty-first century cricket pavilion with regular, affordable bookings for private functions. Those who have not been to Westleigh CC in a few years cannot believe the difference, and with current plans to improve the parking and access situation there is further development proposed on top of work done in recent years.

We have extended the building, improved the facilities inside, decorated and built additional modern outdoor seating however there have remained two common problems: money and space. With your help, we can over come these challenges and achieve two of our future goals: To increase the size of the community social area, and improve the facilities for women both visiting and playing cricket at Westleigh CC.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Our spending is fully transparent, meaning you can see the exact impact your money has had on the project. We will construct a new changing room building, equipped with areas for players, umpires and scorers, as well as toilet, shower and women's changing facilities.

As the two changing rooms in the pavilion will then be vacant, the away changing room will be destructed to increase the size of the social area and the current home changing room will be where the new women's, disabled and baby changing facilities will be.

Finally, alterations and decorating will be completed inside the pavilion as well as exterior landscaping as we are proposing to change the access to Westleigh CC from a car park being built as part of Taylor Wimpey's exciting housing development plans surround the club.

Community impact

The entire country has been hit by the cost of living crisis, this too is true in Westleigh and the greater area. The Pingot is a free-of-charge place for people to come and socialise, with fantastic prices making it an affordable place for families to come. We also offer a personal, affordable, private function service, and offer the pavilion to many charitable groups, schools and representative teams all without charge. Your money will help improve the facilities for all of these people who see Westleigh CC as a place to visit or play cricket.
