We are raising money to replace our to replace our batting cage which is no longer fit for purpose.
Who we are:
Our cricket club is looking to expand upon its already large junior set up as well as the senior set up. We have also just started a girls cricket team and we are seeing more and more girls come down to our junior training sessions.
What are our plans:
We plan on buying a roll on batting cage to replace the last one which unfortunately broke and became dangerous to use. By having a new and safe roll on batting cage, we will be able to increase the number of juniors and adults that are able to practise their cricket on a grass wicket. This will help improve all players who use this as it provides a better simulation of how a wicket will play in a match. Furthermore, we will be able to provide more specific and specialist training sessions for our juniors as well as starting our excellence academy again where we invite the juniors who are either in the East Yorkshire/Yorkshire set up or who are on the periphery on the team for their age group. We are all really excited to finally have cricket back and we hope that a new batting cage will be the first of many exciting upgrades that we have planned for our club.
Our future plans:
Along with a new roll on batting cage we plan on investing more time and resources into improving the club. We have recently re-built our scorers shed and we have just constructed a wall for a new scoreboard to be placed on. We have also built some benches around the boundary for people to use and enjoy. We plan on installing more benches around the boundary. This will increase the number of seating spaces around the boundary. We are currently working on ways to improve the live streaming of our cricket matches. This will allow people to watch the game whenever and wherever they are.
