After the COVID-19 emergency, the world of the arts is uncertain. On our second anniversary of opening, help us on our road to recovery
In July 2018, the new Wells Maltings opened its doors. A landmark centre for arts, culture, local heritage and community involvement, over 75,000 people came through our doors in our first eighteen months.
We bring people together to enjoy, create, laugh, cry, discover, eat, drink and above all just BE in this great creative and joyful environment.
And then, COVID-19 struck. Our doors closed, our income stopped, our endeavours halted.
Lockdown is easing, but our programmes are going to take months - if not years - to recover. We want to continue making a positive difference to people's lives, particular at a time when the arts are needed more than ever.
Your contributions will help us on the road to recovery. To help us recover some of the tens of thousands of pounds we have lost since lockdown. To help us support culture in all its forms in north Norfolk. To help us support our community by providing important affordable space for their classes, meetings and get-togethers. To provide a vital and vibrant centre for people to continue to dream, explore and dive right in.
You will be investing in offering arts and heritage based activity in a socially distant world. You will be keeping our doors open and providing a much needed safety net, to make an uncertain future a little more secure for us, the hundreds of creative artists we support, and the tens of thousands of audience members, visitors and participants we serve.
We have come so far, and so many have joined us on our journey. Help us make our road to recovery a thrilling ride.
