Aim

Fundraising to maintain vital existing services, due to increased energy and operational costs.

Who are we?

We are Wellington Recreation, an amateur league football club consisting of two senior and twelve youth teams. We provide facilities and support to children from the ages of three all the way to senior levels of football.

Community impact

Community is right at the heart of our make-up. In our club structure we have over 220 children from Larne and the surrounding area who depend on our services, from the volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to help children develop and nurture their football abilities.

Not only an amateur football club, we also pride ourselves as being a community hub, where the local community can come and use our "warm space". This vital service allows the community to connect with the club, and use the club as a "meeting point", at a time in the evening were people may otherwise be on their own.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Due to the unprecedented energy and maintenance cost rises, the club are currently in a position were we will need to look at scaling back opening times. This will greatly impact the vital services that the club provide to the children and the wider community.

Crowdfunding will provide a way of securing these services, to enable the club to operate normally through these difficult times.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised from crowdfunding will be directly spent on the current spiralling energy and running costs. This will enable the club to maintain its current opening times, to provide the vital services to support our children and the wider community.
