Aim

To fund a Wellbeing Coordinator to provide tailored wellbeing workshops and support to people with learning disabilities and autism.

Who are we?

The Pro-Active Community is a user-led charity and one of only very few charitable organisations in the UK, led by people with learning disabilities or autism. It aims to influence awareness and change within the health/social care sector and works for the benefit of over 200 members in Surrey in Sussex.

The problem:

With the cost-of-living crisis hitting our community it has already started to increase the amount of stress and pressure we are under. For people who have learning disabilities and autism, it is even more important that there is a support network out there to advise and prepare individuals for the difficult months ahead.

What do we want to do?

The Pro-Active Community would like to money to fund a Wellbeing-Coordinator during this difficult time to provide tailored support and workshops to people with learning disabilities and autism.

The Wellbeing Coordinator would meet up with The Pro-Active Community on a regular basis to offer support and workshops on the following topics:

  • Eating healthy on a budget
  • Money Management - How to save and manage bills
  • Running activities on a budget
  • Wellbeing and mental health advice

Your support will make a huge difference.

Thank you from all of us at The Pro-Active Community.
