To erect a wooden building to the rear acting as a Sentry Hut and also as a First Aid Post for larger gatherings at the museum.
The We'll Meet Again Museum (Home Front and Home Guard) was opened in 2017 and was the brainchild of Paul and Linda Britchford who originally ran it as a Mobile Museum. The building of a static and permanent museum was overseen and project managed by Paul and was completed and opened to the public on the 12th August 2017 and became a charity in January 2018. The museum operates as not only a museum open to the general public but also as a educational facility working closely with the school curriculum teaching all aspects of WW1 and WW2 to young students.
We have also a very close working relationship with the Normandy Veterans Association who are regular visitors as are some of our local care homes with their dementia residents.
It is intended that the museum with be here in perpetuity for the benefit of the residents of Lincolnshire.
The construction of a purpose built Sentry Post and First Ad Station will benefit the museum for many years to come in that it will be large enough for personnel to use it at all time including special events and beneficial that there will be a permanent Fits Aid Post at all time were privacy can be paramount.
