Aim
Providing dignity and kindness for sanctuary seekers through welcome packs filled with essential items
At RWNS, we provide welcome and friendship and practical help via our 5 hubs across North Somerset. We then provide enhanced casework for those deemed particularly vulnerable due to health, pregnancy or risk of homelessness.
When someone first arrives, they often have very little in way of clothes and personal items. Asylum seekers on £9.95 a week are left without the most basic personal essentials. Items many of us reach for without thinking — deodorant, lip balm, a hairbrush, sun cream, socks, bras and pants.
£15 will enable us to provide a backpack with the essentials for a new arrival, letting them know that they are valued and we care.
