Aim

Support the UK's 1st dog food brand that gives 100% of profits to charity to improve dog welfare for over 75% of the world's dog population!

Founded by Dr. Janey Lowes, WECare Worldwide is a charity driven by a passionate commitment to improving the lives of street dogs and their communities. It all began when Janey, an English veterinary surgeon, visited Sri Lanka and witnessed the dire conditions and lack of access to veterinary care for these vulnerable dogs. Motivated by compassion and a desire to make a lasting impact, she founded WECare Worldwide.

Since its inception, WECare Worldwide has embarked on an incredible journey, providing essential veterinary treatments, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering services to street dogs in Sri Lanka. Their tireless efforts have resulted in treating over 20,000 dogs and addressing the urgent need for veterinary care in areas where 75% of the world's dog population roams without an owner and access to veterinary services is scarce. WECare Worldwide aims to bridge this gap by raising veterinary standards and working in collaboration with the veterinary profession, governments, and communities.

Recognising the need for sustainable funding, WECare Worldwide conceived the idea of launching WECare Pet Food, the first UK mission-driven dog food brand. By pledging 100% of profits from sales to WECare Worldwide, this innovative venture aims to support the ongoing work of the charity. WECare Pet Food will offer a highly nutritious and balanced kibble, vet-approved to provide dogs with optimal nutrition and a meal they will love. WECare Pet Food will work in close collaboration with veterinary professionals to ensure accurate information is readily available for dog owners and provide clarity about diet fads in the pet food market that can lead to confusion and misconceptions.

The impact of WECare Worldwide's work is currently concentrated in Sri Lanka. However, with the funds raised through WECare Pet Food, the charity plans to expand its operations to other countries, replicating its success and positively transforming dog welfare on a global scale. The ultimate vision is to establish more WECare clinics in communities worldwide, providing essential veterinary care and education to empower local communities and governments to take an active role in improving dog wellbeing.
