We Are ALDER Day - Walk for Maisie Moo's Missions

Aim
Year 8 students will be taking part in a 10-kilometre sponsored walk around the local area, raising funds for Maisie Moo's Missions.
We Are ALDER Day is a special event in our school calendar — a day to step away from the usual timetable and celebrate what it means to live out our ALDER values of Altruism, Leadership, Diversity, Excellence, and Resilience.
This year, our Year 8 students will be taking part in a 10-kilometre sponsored walk around the local Gee Cross area, raising funds for an incredibly meaningful cause — Maisie Moo’s Missions, a local charity founded in memory of Maisie Almond, a former pupil of All Saints Catholic College.
Maisie tragically passed away in October 2024, aged just 14, from sudden acute liver failure. Her parents, Kathryn and Stuart, created Maisie Moo’s Missions to honour her kindness, positivity, and compassion by making a difference in the lives of others. The charity’s work focuses on supporting disadvantaged children through “Maisie Moo Care Bags,” which provide comfort and essentials to children in need. It also raises vital awareness of organ and blood donation — causes that are close to the family’s heart and have the power to save lives.
Through this sponsored walk, our students will be embracing our school values while supporting a local charity that truly embodies the spirit of Altruism and Resilience.
We are proud to walk in memory of Maisie and to support her family’s mission to spread kindness and hope throughout our community.
