This May the Greater Manchester Branch of the Women's Equality Party are running their most ambitious election campaign yet.
WE are running this election campaign against the backdrop of the pandemic and the vital needs of women and girls that have been highlighted by events of the past year.
We are standing six candidates across six different wards:
In Trafford: St Mary's: Lucy Wood
In Stockport: Heatons North: Paula King
In Salford: Eccles: Donna-Maree Humphery
In Manchester: Deansgate: Sam Days
In Manchester: Didsbury West: Sarika Paul
In Manchester: Chorlton: Jo Heathcote
You can meet three of our amazing candidates in our short video above!
We cannot campaign on the doorsteps this year and need to reach out in other ways to ensure building back equal is a clear option for voters. Women have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic in numerous ways and we need your help.
Please donate what you can:
£10 will fund phone banking to help us call all our members and supporters in our key wards.
£50 will fund targeted social media advertisements to reach out to voters and potential new members and supporters in our key wards.
£100 will pay for the printing of half the leaflets for a target ward to let all voters know there is a way to do politics differently, that the deeds are not yet done and WE must build back equal.
If you're not able to donate at the moment but could offer some time to help us leaflet or have some skills that would help the campaign we would love to hear from you at [email protected] or see you at a Branch Meeting!
