For too long, our communities have waited for politics to catch up with us.
We have watched our streets discussed without us. Our needs debated without us. Our futures decided without us.
We are changing it.
We are Global Majority Greens — the network within the Green Party of England and Wales that exists to strengthen engagement with Black, Asian and Global Majority communities, and build the conditions for our people to lead. Not just participate. Not just be consulted. Lead.
We are not a talking shop. We pushed the Anti-Racism Platform through Conference. We run political education. We hold the Party accountable to its own stated values. And now we are taking the next step.
Global Majority Green candidates are standing for election in communities across England and Wales — people from Black, Asian and Global Majority backgrounds, running to represent the places they actually call home.
They are not career politicians. They are parents, workers, teachers and organisers who have looked at the state of their neighbourhoods — the housing inequalities, the underfunded services, the communities left behind — and decided that the best response is to stand up and say: I will represent you.
That is what hope looks like when it gets organised.
We exist because presence is not the same as power. Black, Asian and Global Majority people have always been in the Green Party. What has been missing is infrastructure — the training, the resources, the backing that turns a good candidate into an elected one.
This is that infrastructure.
We are raising £50,000. Here is exactly what it funds:
£30,000 — Campaign materials for candidates across England and Wales: leaflets, posters and direct mail to reach every voter in every ward.
£8,000 — Candidate training, mentoring and political development: the skills and support that turn a first-time candidate into a confident one.
£7,000 — Community organising, events and outreach: taking Green politics into places it has never properly been.
£5,000 — Communications and campaign visibility: making sure our candidates are seen, heard and known.
Every pound goes directly to the campaign. No bureaucracy. No middlemen. Just candidates reaching doors.
And this is bigger than any single election. Monthly donors don't just fund a campaign. They fund a permanent pipeline — Global Majority Green candidates being developed right now, for every council, every ward, every election still to come.
We are building something that lasts.
We are not waiting for someone else to be the hope.
We are running. We are standing on our own streets, speaking in our own voices, with our own lived experience as our greatest qualification. We have communities behind us, a movement growing around us, and a vision of Green politics that finally looks like the world it says it wants to build.
We just need the tools to reach every door.
On 7th May, elections are taking place across England and Wales. If there is a Global Majority Green candidate standing in your area, go and vote for them. That vote is not just a ballot — it is a signal that our communities are done being spoken about and ready to lead.
