Aim

Help us warm up our community and give them a huge welcome and a place to come where they can meet people, paint, draw, sit and chat

The Maidstone Art Centre C.I.C is run entirely not for profit and with the help of volunteers.
we offer the community a welcoming hub where they can visit , meet, chat, join an art session, create all manner of wonderful arts and crafts and most importantly, a place to belong and feel truly welcomed.

We are entirely unfunded and rely on our wonderful community, who support us by donating their unwanted arts and crafts materials so that we can hold wonderful art and craft workshops, sessions.
our youngest member is 3 and our oldest 92 and every one of them is a much loved part of our family.
We  want to welcome  more of our community

Community impact

Our lovely people come from all over kent to our centre, we are so proud that we have made a real difference to the community who visits, without any help from local government , we hold sessions for autistic and Neuro- diverse young people from all over Kent and to see how happy they are when they are being their most creative self. Warms our hearts

Why are we crowdfunding?

We want to buy some more heating so we can welcome more people to a warm space where they can relax, chat, and belong in a warm environment where their fingers can get busy knitting, painting drawing, without being too cold. A toasty snuggly place where mums can bring their toddlers and chat, whilst the toddlers can safely explore our messy paint play area

a warm place where the elderly can sit a while, feel less isolated but be warm enough to feel comfortable

.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We would buy more heating, a stove which would give us the chance to properly heat our large building and enable the community to come in and benefit from it.
we could offer hot soup to our visitors , a comfy place to sit , on top of the opportunity to paint, draw, knit, stitch and chat It’s important to plan to spend the money you raise.
