We're still collecting donations
On the 8th June 2021 we'd raised £440 with 15 supporters in 35 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
‘We Are All Disabled’ is a controversial statement so let's talk about it together.

On the 8th June 2021 we'd raised £440 with 15 supporters in 35 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
The We Are All Disabled conference has been set up in response to the positive feedback to my blog https://wearealldisabled.org and aims to explore, challenge and change perceptions of disability.
‘We Are All Disabled’ is a controversial statement which means different things to different people. I am keen to embrace this controversy and explore diverse opinions with a range of speakers and facilitators from different sectors of the disabled and non-disabled community.
With this in mind the conference will also launch a series of workshops on the theme of ‘Are you sitting uncomfortably?’ where I aim to create a safe and supportive space for people to have open conversations about subjects and issues which they may find difficult.
We are also really happy to announce a very special guest attending. Lee The Lost Voice Guy who has made a wonderful video we would like to share, see the link in blue below.
Lost Voice Guy supports We are all disabled
I hope to make the event informative, engaging, challenging, funny and inspiring and would like as many people as possible to attend and help make the event a big success.
This is where I need your help…
I’m very grateful to have the support of Disability North and Project North East who are helping me to organise the event and Virgin Money who are providing the venue.
I’m now looking for financial support to cover the costs of hosting the conference and promoting it so that it reaches as wide an audience as possible – locally, nationally and internationally.
How can you help?
Every little helps. We will have a number of inspiring speakers at the conference and the more we raise the more impact they will have in the wider communities outside of the 1 day conference.
Our aim is to have this conference every year but we need to prove it works and with your help we can do that.
Sponsorship
Sponsoring the We Are All Disabled conference is a great way to increase awareness of the Diversity & Inclusion agenda and raise the profile of your organisation.
£500 – a mention in the programme plus 2 delegate places
£1,000 – your organisation’s logo on promotional materials, a mention in the programme plus 2 delegate places
£2,500 – your organisation’s logo on promotional materials, a profile piece in the programme plus 2 delegate places
£5,000 – your organisation’s logo on promotional materials, a profile piece in the programme plus 4 delegate places
What’s next?
I’m planning a very exciting and diverse line-up of speakers and facilitators for the conference and workshops. The programme is being finalised and I’ll be able to share more details on that soon…. Watch this space!
I hugely appreciate any support you can offer - with your help we can continue to explore, challenge and change perceptions of disability, increase empathy and understanding, and close the divide across all communities, both disabled and non-disabled.
