Watlington Flow Park & Halfpipe

Aim

Refurbish our unique wheeled sports facility in Watlington.

The halfpipe in Watlington stood for as long as people can remember and was, for many, a right of passage.

Whilst it served the town well over the years, it got to the point where it became too dangerous. The rivets kept coming out, creating sharp edges; the metal surface was slippery to skate on and became scalding hot in the summer. Water was always trapped between the metal quickly rotting it through. Because of this we have made the hard decision to dismantle it.

We are hoping to replace it with a new improved wooden version. Just as wide but 2ft lower. We want it to be something useable by all ages and all abilities. 

We are looking to raise £8,500 to cover the install and maintenance for the first 3 years. If we can do this we will not need to use any money earmarked for the bowl improvements. If you live around Watlington and would love to see a new halfpipe replacing the old one then please help us.
