I am selling a Limited Edition of 100 signed watermelon prints for £25 including postage to raise cash for Gaza Formula Fund - and fast. The 3rd Edition of Prints is available now in the reward section but...I'm also selling T-Shirts through my website: ianbruce.net/watermelons

This campaign was started by Georgia, a mother in London, and Izz, a father in Gaza and is, against all odds, raising money to enable the sourcing and distribution of formula milk, nappies, medicine and drinking water across Gaza City and surrounding areas. The Israeli blockade is still preventing aid from entering Gaza. So many families are now relying on these precious resources and because of utterly extortionate inflation Georgia needs to be sending Izz more than £30,000 a week. To break this down it down £4,000 (after the various transaction fees and banking charges) buys just 40 tins of formula milk and 15 packs of 40 nappies.

Watermelons became a symbol of Palestinian resistance as far back as 1980. Paintings  by renowned Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour were being seized from exhibitions by Israeli authorities for featuring the Palestinian flag. An Israeli soldier told Mansour that he should paint flowers or a nude instead. The artist asked what would happen if he painted flowers that were red, white, black and green. The soldier replied that "Even if you paint a watermelon, we will confiscate it". After being randomly detained and questioned by the Israeli authorities he started to paint watermelons and they became a covert and enduring symbol of resilience and solidarity.

I am selling the original crayon on paper artwork framed for £500 (includes postage, £450 going Gaza Formula Fund).
