Aim
Recycling for Charity Scheme
Since 2019, Wasteless Market has held drop-off events where people can bring their hard-to-recycle plastic packaging, confident that it does get recycled, with the bonus of a charitable donation for every kg collected. Since 2019 we have raised over £680 for Kent Air Ambulance and other charities, and saved well over 500 kg of packaging from incineration, sending it to specialist recycling companies such as Terracycle, who turn the waste into products such as picnic benches, children's playground equipment, planters and more.
Any donations received will be put to good use supporting our eco markets and charitable recycling schemes.
Although our events are staffed by volunteers, there are expenses involved, such as insurance, hire charges for some venues, and other admin costs. As a not-for-profit company, Wasteless Market's directors are grateful for the generous help of our supporters.
