We will run free workshops where children can help local artist make a fantastic underwater scene using waste plastic destined for landfill

We are a group of volunteers who are making our village play area in Colerne suitable for children with disabilities or additional needs. We fundraise tirelessly to install exciting inclusive play equipment but we have also run art workshops in the past and they were very popular. Children of all abilities took part and were very proud of what they created. They learn about waste plastic and the effect on the environment.
Unfortunately we could only offer some children the opportunity to take part, others wanted to join in but we ran out of funding. £1,500 would cover 12 workshop days plus materials with talented artist Anya Beaumont over 3 months and create a giant 20metre ‘underwater’ artwork to display along the length of the play area. £250 pays for 2 workshop days creating one large creature over those days including materials.
The workshops would start in early 2020.
