New Entrance Gate Sign for Wasps Twyford Avenue

Some of our older members and players will remember the "WASPS FOOTBALL CLUB " sign over the entrance gates to our old ground at Repton Avenue, Sudbury near Wembley. 

The sign itself will be curved in design (as the old one was) and stand 5 metres above the entrance gates and will read as follows:  

                                            WASPS FC - RUGBY SINCE 1867 

For some time it has been in our mind to replicate it at the entrance to our home here at Twyford Avenue in Acton  West London. 

We have taken the necessary measurements, found a manufacturer and it has been agreed by the committee, so all we have to do now is help to fund it. 

The cost of installing the new entrance sign will be £4500.00 and should we exceed this figure we will hope to install a "next fixture" board close by the club house along with a "welcome to Wasps FC" sign on the side of the club house. All of these signs together will enhance the Wasps experience as well as give a clear message to all our visitors of what we are about. 

Any donation large or small  will be gratefully received and put to work for the amateur club in its 158th's season of playing this great game of Rugby Union. 

Our aim is close our donation page on the 25th November and give the club its players and members an early Christmas present by starting 2025 with fresh new signage to be proud of,  and hopefully attract a new young playing membership which is the lifeblood of any Rugby club going forward.

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
