Aim
We want to expand our events and online offering so that more women can feel empowered, inspired and be a part of a unique network.
Warrior Women Collective supports, empowers and celebrates women through events, content and its community. We need to raise £5,000 to help us expand our event and online offering so that we can inspire and support more women.
Our story
We’re Amy and Charlie, lifelong friends and co-founders of Warrior Women Collective - a network that supports, celebrates and inspires women.
It all began back in 2017 when we decided to create a networking event with a difference in our home town, Cardiff. We wanted to create a space for women to share their experiences and where like-minded women could be inspired, learn and make meaningful connections.
As we started running our events, we quickly realised the importance and value they were bringing to the women who were attending them. There was something magical about watching a room full of women supporting and learning from one another.
Fast forward three years, and we have held 29 sell out events and over 1,800 women have attended, our online community of supportive and like-minded women is growing and we produce thought provoking, inspiring content through our newsletter and podcast. In 2020, Warrior Women Collective ltd was born and we took our events online.
We need your help to support our vision of growing our tribe, expanding our online offering and hosting more events in more locations.
We want to support, empower and inspire even more women.
What we do
Through our events, content and community we aim to inspire, educate and celebrate all women - whether you are running your own business, a Mother, retired or taking a career break.
Events
We create thought provoking and feel good events that bring together like-minded women in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Each month brilliant women step into our Warrior Women bubble and listen to a range of inspiring female speakers who share their personal journey, insight and advice.
We have an all female market place where local businesses can showcase their brands and mingle with our tribe. We also raise money for local causes that are close to our hearts and directly impact women.
Through a diverse programme of inspiring events, we cover a range of relevant and important subjects. Past events have covered everything from career to self-love, interior design to money and sustainable fashion to personal branding.
Our September event featured an expert panel of women discussing Imposter Syndrome - a subject and issue that impacts six out of 10 women - and over 170 women joined.
Online
As a result of COVID-19, we expanded our event offering and took them online. This eye opening move, allowed us to reach a wider audience of women who were unable to attend our previous events as a result of location, childcare or mental health reasons.
The most vital thing the the transition online underlines for us, was the importance of the connections between the women who make up our tribe.
Inspiring and thought provoking content
Our tribe were hungry for more beyond the events, so in early 2020 we also launched our website, podcast, newsletter and developed our blog. Through these we provide relevant and useful content to educate and champion women.
Why does this matter?
Networks and events like these are so important because they:
- address an imbalance and inequality in female speakers and amplifying their voices
- create a network and platform of female role models to inspire and empower other women to do more
- give female run businesses a platform
- educate and provide a platform for knowledge sharing between women
- create a safe space for women to discuss the daily challenges women face and create a safe environment for them to be discussed
- give women the confidence to follow their goals.
How can you help?
We need your help to scale our offering so that we can reach even more women across the UK. With your support, securing us £5,000 will help us to;
- take our events to more locations, allowing more women to attend and share their experiences
- grow our online event offering – more events and more topics
- develop an online membership
- grow an online female marketplace
- run workshops for women by women
- creating an online directory of women – helping to support female run businesses and connect other women with their services.
With the funding we can take our vision to the next level to build Warrior Women Collective, giving a platform for women to feel inspired and grow together.
