Aim
The aim of our charity is to provide life skills and occupational training for people with learning disabilities.
Who are we?
The aim of our charity is to provide life skills and occupational training for people with learning disabilities. These are designed to develop vocational and life skills, self confidence and independence.
We deliver a tailor-maid, unique programme of creative and engaging hands on projects and activities. The activities include stained glass, basic woodwork, sewing and cooking. We also offer the students important recreational activities such as nature walks, sports, music, dance and drama to help promote healthy living.
Community impact
We are one of only a hand full of day centres left for adults with learning disabilities in Sheffield. It is vital that we carry on providing this safe space for our students to come and enjoy.
The cost of living crisis is having a major affect on everyone living in the UK. As a charity we are feeling the pinch more than ever.
The money we raise will go towards covering our increased energy costs.
Donations to our project will be matched by the co-op warm space funding boost up to the value of £250 to help us tackle the cost of living crisis.
