Aim
Our church building is THE big space in our small village, but we need help with its heating costs!
We need help to warm up our huge but chilly space! By receiving help to meet our heating costs we can then offer more community activities such as coffee mornings, whist and bingo, there's room for a bouncy castle, we can hold a jumble sale, concerts or film night. The internal height means we can play badminton, kick a ball around or use a donated pool table, currently stuck in a corner. We have already removed the pews and covered the cold damp floor in a simple, cost-effective way, with the invaluable help of local volunteers and donated material, which will make our heating much more effective, but right now the electricity still costs a fortune! Our church is open all day, every day, but we need to make it warmer, especially for more vulnerable members of our village community. Currently individuals bring hot water bottles, wear their heated socks or make sure they wear hats, gloves and coats, but we want to be able to offer a much warmer welcome!
