Aim
Our Warm Welcome provides a space for local people with drinks, food, and a warm space available for free during the winter months
Who are we?
BCDC works to engage, empower and represent community members and community organisations in Balornock, Barmulloch, Millerston, Robroyston, and Springburn. Through our long association with the area we are aware it is home to resilient and talented people and resourceful groups. We want to work with them to make positive, life enhancing changes and create greater pride in their local area.
Community impact
The cost of living and energy crisis continues to impact people of all ages. Our Warm Welcome provides a safe and comfortable space for people who want to socialise, relax, and not have to worry about heating their own home.
We provide warm drinks and snacks to everyone, and we help signpost people who are looking for additional support.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are proud to offer our premises as a Warm Space, however we need to raise funds to cover our costs. We also want to be able to increase the range of activities and any extra funding we recieve will be spent on activities or entertainment for people in the local community.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The support we recieve will be spent on food, energy, staffing, and activities for the Warm Welcome space. Every penny raised will be spent directly on people in the local community.
