Warm Spaces at St John's

Aim

Our aim is to provide a warm space where all locals within our community can come and relax. It will be open to individuals and families.

Who are we?

We are a friendly church in the centre of Ainsdale. We hold regular services throughout the week, but in addition we are looking to provide warm space access at other times, particularly during the cold winter months, to those that would like friendship, and a relaxing, welcoming environment.

We will be providing regular free film shows, free refreshments and a safe and warm space.

Community impact

As part of the wider CTIA (Churches Together In Ainsdale) we are keen to provide an extended warm environment during these difficult times.

Access is entirely free and we welcome everyone - whether a regular church goer or not. There are no age restrictions - all are welcome. We want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to come along and find a warm and welcoming space.

Why are we crowdfunding?

During these difficult financial times, we, like everyone else, have to find funds to meet our day to day expenses - heating, lighting, and all other utility bills.

Our costs have risen dramatically in the past 6 months, and to ensure we can keep our church heated and welcoming for new and old friends, we need to seek additional funding and support.

As we look to open our building for additional times, create warm spaces for all, we need to find this extra funding more than ever.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every single penny that is donated will be earmarked and ringfenced to cover our utility bills.

We know that times are hard for everyone, and appreciate that donations are now ever harder to pledge - that is why we can guarantee that all money raised in our crowdfunding campaign will be spent diligently, wisely and only earmarked to cover our current and additional running costs for gas and electricity.
