Aim: Rising energy costs at We Too! means we are struggling to maintain a warm space within the city for disabled customers - can you help?
We Too! is a customer driven organisation empowering families of children with life-long, predominately hidden disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, Tourette's, Epilepsy by providing a free, quarterly "What's On" Guide for families, peer support, a monthly children's club and a school holiday programme as well as bespoke ASN/Customer Service Training to other organisations to help them host Relaxed/Sensory Adapted Sessions in the community'
We also run a a parent/carer centre within Aberdeen Trinity Centre, recognising that the needs of parent/carers can be different to other carers. Within this centre we offer relevant groups and courses as well as a resource library and a sensory space which can be accessed during your visit.
We Too! magazine is the only publication of it's kind in Scotland and currently has a readership of 31,000 in NE Scotland. We Too! is also the leading provider of Relaxed Sessions within the community ensuring that every family in the community can access Relaxed Sessions who may benefit, regardless of whether they have a professional referral or a full diagnosis.
As the cold weather continues to bite in Aberdeen, we are increasingly challenged to heat our space and provide an inclusive and compassionate environment for families with disabilities to access as a warm space. Children with ADHD, Tourettes, Autism and other hidden disabilities can struggle to find warm spaces that are understanding of their sensory needs and sensory seeking behaviour.
We Too! has a sensory space within "Ninja HQ" and plenty of games, puzzles. lego and sensory toys to access along with refreshments for everyone.
