Our Warm Space runs for 20 hours a week over 5 days and is open to anyone and everyone. It is completely run by volunteers and is free.
People come in for a hot drink, somewhere to sit and chat, or to take part in a craft session.
The money raised will help us keep the Warm Space open until the end of the winter. It will pay towards for refreshments and drinks, craft materials and volunteer expenses (like travel or child care costs).
We provide light snacks, hot drinks, crisps, biscuits and cakes, and people are welcome to bring in their own food if they want to.
We are open from 12:00 to 4:00 pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Community Space also runs a 'Coats for all' initiative, so we have coats available free to anyone who needs one but is on a low income or struggling financially. We do not ask for proof of income.
We also have facilities available, like internet access, printers, and toilet and baby changing facilities. Breast feeding mums are welcome, and we are fully accessible.
We have board games, puzzles, cards and children's books and toys as well as a huge variety of crafts. We have great fun sharing our craft skills or exploring new crafts together. Crafts like folk painting, beading, jewelry making, crochet knitting, card making, glass painting and making decorations from fabric, paper, puzzle pieces etc.
