🎀Warm Hugs🎀 blankets for Gaza 🥰

Aim

You want to give Gazans warm hugs? The ones that glue our pieces together? Now you can by being responsible for their warming blankets @home

Hello and welcome to our fundraiser for "Warm Hugs" community blanket distribution network for innocent, displaced and vulnerable Gazans 🙂

You know how some say "create the things you wish existed"?

Well, that's what we are doing here, and wish you can help us out!

Freeflowing Humanitarian Aid is restricted to 145 trucks per day (on average)...20% of what has been agreed in the October 2025 Ceasefire deal.

The items are being sadly redistributed in the local market instead of freely provided to those who need them for free, as per their Human Rights.

However!, shelter, warm food, water, baby milk and nappies, warm clothes & shoes....all well taken care of by existing initiatives serving Gazans on the ground.

After a thorough research about community blanket provisions, there is none in the whole of Gaza....YET!

With your help, we will be able to start running the blanket distribution network with our wonderful volunteers on the grounds of the whole of Gaza strip.

So far, we are a small and mighty team and call ourselves "Warm Hugs".

Our team is comprised of young gazan volunteers, as well as worldwide helpers and voice-amplifying members of our beautiful Mutual Aid network ⚛️

We are all plain humans like you and wish to protect vulnerable Gazans from the upcoming cold.

We want to facilitate sending alllll the *long overdue* warm hugs in the form of fuzzy blankets to as many displaced and absolutely demoralised Gazans as humanely possible.

Are you with us???

So far we have managed to:

❇️ Find all the blanket retailers across the strip

❇️ Cut excellent wholesale price deals with them for discounted blankets of great quality, covering all needs imaginable

❇️ Figure out a sustainable system of purchasing, collecting and dropping off blankets to families who reach out to us (and -hopefully- beyond, some day)

❇️ Organise and set our collection points

❇️ Create a prioritisation brain map, to ensure households are served in good time, according to their needs

❇️ Partner with willing local vendors to implement a "buy one, donate one" model, ensuring that a blanket purchased in the area results in a donation to a local Community Kitchen to distribute, building community resilience and local impact.

Would you provide us with the funds to make this all happen?

Please fuel our fire with your spare coin, and let it warm those who need it and deserve it the most this winter 🎀

Thank you for your kind consideration, ongoing allyship and fierce solidarity against all odds ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Warm wishes,

The Warm Hugs crew
