Aim
In Jan 2023, we were lucky enough to receive funding from WBC to create a warm space. We wanted to create something friendly and welcoming.
Who are we?
We are Helping Hands Changing Lives C.I.C set up in March 2020 to help with the covid 19 Pandemic. Since the world started to open up again we have become more of a community group.

Community impact
We Support around 250 homes a month with food parcels, we have a community hula hoop club that is getting bigger and bigger and helps to keep people active.
Now with our warm hubs we are supporting people in another way, helping to keep people warm, Safe and a full tummy. We offer 2 sessions a week that is open to anyone, they will receive a hot meal, plenty of hot drinks and biscuits. We also have a couple of games of bingo and all the prizes are to help people keep warm, like blankets and slow cookers to keep the cost of their energy bills down. We have also made a partnership with a local pharmacy who will come in and do health checks free of charge.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowd funding to keep this project going for as long as possible. Our Warm hub has proven so popular with over 50 visitors to each session

The money will be used to keep providing free drinks and free hot meals for the people that really need it within our community. We will also use the money to buy things to help people keep warm, like hot water bottles, thermal socks, gloves and hats.
