Co-op Warm Spaces Funding Boost has provided £600 of match funding
Our project is to help people with energy crisis and food crisis. To access warm safe space. every friday
Who are we?We are a local charity who work in the Fazakerley area, working with families who need support with welfare advice, food parcels and we also offer a warm space one day per week, where everyone is welcome for hot meal, activities including jewellery making, salsa dancing, card making, mosaics, play cards, read a book or just sit and have a chat and keep warm and fed. Which helps them with heating and food costs for at least one day a week.
Located on the outskirts of Liverpool, our organisation runs a community centre, community library, welfare rights advice, food pantry, emergency food parcels and a wide range of community activities. We are seen as the first stop for advice and help in our community.
We need to raise funds to cover food and energy costs, equipment and sometimes tutor fees depending on the activity. And if enough is raised we can open on a different day.
Money raise will be spent on food, heating costs as these are has risen over the last 6 months due to the current food and fuel crisis. It will help us spread our work further and we would like to expand to 2 days a week if funding is available
