Replacement of our KS2 boiler
Our Key Stage 2 boiler has unfortunately failed and needs replacing. The total cost of this project is estimated at £120,000.
As a church school, we are able to apply for funding through the Manchester Diocese, which supports schools with major building projects. Each year, they review applications from across their schools portfolio (of almost 200 schools) and have to allocate funding based on need and what is available from the DfE.
Here’s the important part:
To be eligible for this funding, schools must contribute the first 10% of the total cost themselves.
For us, that means raising £12,000.
So while the overall cost is high, the amount we are fundraising for is just that initial 10% - which unlocks the remaining funding if our bid is successful.
If we are unable to raise this amount, it would need to come from the school’s budget, which would affect the resources and opportunities we can offer our children.
We’re approaching this in a positive way - bringing our community together and making it fun!
Every bit of support - whether through attending, volunteering, sharing, or donating - really does make a difference.
