Aim: Waringstown wish to use this funding support to go into areas of low social depravation and areas we haven't been in before for our outreach
Who We Are
Waringstown Cricket Club, with a proud history and six All-Ireland trophies to its name, has long been a hub for cricket excellence and community engagement. Over recent years, we have focused on building strong foundations for youth and women's cricket. In 2024, our Women's 1XI won the Premier League, Challenge Cup and were runners up in the All-Ireland Final.
However, we are ready to take the next step. With the growing interest in cricket among local schools and the success of our 2024 Crowdfunder, we want to continue this momentum into new communities, to continue driving forward our club.
Why This Project Matters
At Waringstown, we believe cricket is more than a game—it is a vehicle for developing teamwork, confidence, and resilience. We recognise that cricket is often seen as a middle-class game and we hope by expanding our reach to new and under-represented areas, that we can diversify our membership and grow our club network.
Our Project
To build on our Crowdfunder programme from last year. We are expanding our schools outreach to schools that we have never been in before as well as focus on areas with high social depravation.
