Aim
In partnership with British Gas, Wallasey Cricket Club is looking to upgrade our ageing building, to make it more modern & energy efficient
Help us make Wallasey Cricket Club greener, more sustainable and cheaper to run for future generations!
Wallasey Cricket Club has been at the heart of our community for generations, providing opportunities for people of all ages to play sport, stay active and connect with others.
☀️ We have a challenge though...
Our clubhouse facilities are ageing and energy inefficient, which means higher running costs and money that could be better invested into cricket, coaching and our community programmes.
👉 The problem
Our energy bills continue to rise, and our older building isn't as efficient as it could be.
This means:
- Higher operating costs for the club
- Less money available for facilities and development
- A larger environmental impact than we'd like
💡 Why this matters
By improving the energy efficiency of our clubhouse, we can reduce costs, lower our carbon footprint and create a better environment for members, volunteers and visitors.
The money we save can be reinvested directly back into the club and local community.
🔋 Our solution
We're raising funds to install energy-saving improvements, including solar panels, a new boiler and other efficiency measures that will help us generate cleaner energy and reduce waste.
These improvements will:
- Lower our long-term energy costs
- Reduce carbon emissions
- Create a more sustainable clubhouse for future generations
