Alison Weeks is fundraising for
SURREY DRUG AND ALCOHOL CARE LIMITED
Charity No. 1151494

£425
I am raising money by walking the Camino from Porto (Portugal) to Santiago (Spain) approx 170 miles, carrying my own backpack all the way on this pilgrimage. I hope, that by making my intention, to raise funds and challenge myself at 58 years of age, to walk this journey, I will raise funds for this charitable cause, that is very important to me, so please donate and help me reach my target in aid of SURREY DRUG AND ALCOHOL CARE LIMITED. Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated.
The money will ensure that anyone within Surrey area, struggling with mental health/substance misuse and significant others can access therapeutic counselling and group support for complex bereavement, abstinent bootcamp and significant others (family/loved ones). The Charity, offers talking therapy with qualified BACP counsellors and the funds will help ensure access to anyone in Surrey, if they are unable to donate. The Charity ensures clients have access immediately to talking therapies (this can be a life saver), ensuring that vulnerable individuals can start the journey to support, immediately (3 days maximum).
Let's ensure that this small charity, has funds to continue supporting people, as I know that it has saved people's lives and their immediate family, service users have always been so grateful, to have access to this support, but with limited funding available, SDAC are struggling, without the support and generosity of donors.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support me.

Best of luck Alison. What an amazing thing to do for SDAC! You helped many people including me to get well and build a new, sober life and the funds you raise will do the same for people out there who need SDAC's help. Happy hiking, one step at a time!
