To raise awareness for men's mental health and create safe, supportive communities around the country for men to talk about their health.
On the 2nd of November, we're walking from the north coast to the south coast of Cornwall along The Smugglers Way to raise money and awareness for InCourage, a men's mental health charity that helps make a difference to the horrendous statistics that suicide is the leading cause of male deaths under the age of 50 in England and Wales and 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their health.
Last year we raised over £3000 walking 45km from Padstow to Foye along the saints way.
This year we're looking to beat that and walk 65km along the smuggler's way and raise £5,000 along the smuggler's way.

The Smugglers way Cornwall’s most challenging coast-to-coast walking route. Not only linking two coastlines, but inland you also top the highest points in the ancient county of Kernow (Cornwall) on the wild and imposing tor of Brown Willy and the eerie rock sculptures of Rough Tor both high on the bleak and mysterious expanse of Bodmin Moor.
A note from InCourage:
Most research reveals that 1 in 10 men experience depression or anxiety but less than half will tell anyone or receive treatment.
If 1 in 10 are struggling, we believe that 9 in 10 men are part of the solution.
We want to see every community support every man.
As a small not for profit we know we can't tackle a national issue on a wide scale. But we can act locally. Through a successful pilot year, we have identified the need to work with 10 groups of men in their local settings. These include sports clubs, workplaces, and schools. To achieve this, we are raising £10k through crowdfunding. You will see men throwing themselves into challenges and events from 10th October to the 10th of November all in the name of addressing Men's Wellbeing.
We are asking you to support our campaign by donating money and/or taking part in one of our challenges or events. Every penny raised will make a difference to the lives of men in our communities.
