The acclaimed actress and patron of the David Lean Cinema, Joanna Scanlan has, alongside her co-star Neil Pearson, secured us exclusive access for you and a friend to the premiere of their latest film - Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
The premiere will be held in January in the heart of London ahead of the film's general release in February.
You'll be able to mix and mingle with the movie stars and strut your stuff on the red carpet like an A-lister!
Your donations will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of Croydon's beloved independent cinema. We're in need of some essential improvements to our audio/visual equipment, and we're determined to improve the customer experience and give everyone a magical cinematic experience when they step through our doors.
The David Lean Cinema is a Community Interest Company (CIC) offering a varied programme of films, ranging from much-loved classics to world cinema, indie hits, sing-alongs, and even movies you won't see anywhere else.
We are run by the community, for the community.
We are Croydon's independent cinema, based inside the iconic Clocktower, and we're committed to making cinema accessible for all. As well as an extensive programme of cinema, from big screen blockbusters to indie gems and world cinema, we also host screenings for parents with babies, young people with neurodiverse conditions, and those living with dementia.
We're considered a cultural gem in Croydon and we're always working hard to enhance our cinema and secure our financial future.
As well as our diverse array of films, we've also hosted Q&A events with industry legends, including Art Malik, Nicole Holofcener, Tobias Menzies, Tilda Swinton, Andrew Haigh, to name a few.
Every penny raised through this campaign will be used to enhance our cinema and create a memorable experience for every cinemagoer.
