Aim

We aim to fund the first stage of the Wai-Lā Swimwear launch and bring the first line of elegant, sustainable swimwear to the market

Wai-Lā comes from the Hawaiian word wai [water] and lā [sun]. The nautilus shell part of our brand identity represents the beach as well as a constant upward spiral for progress, development and making things better. 

Wai-Lā founders understand well the importance of balance - one of them a creative soul with background in visual arts and fashion design; the other - a marketing and customer experience guru. This balance is reflected in our brand and our products. Our swimwear - both leisure and performance lines - finds the sweet spot between elegance and performance, aesthetics and utility, leisure and sport.

We care deeply about ocean conservation and coral reef protection, they aren't just causes we support, they are the very reason Wai-Lā exists. Both founders are avid swimmers; one of them also a scuba diver. We believe that water is life and the ocean is our planet’s biggest treasure. This belief is stitched into every piece we make - literally. We use reclaimed, recycled, and sustainable fabrics, diverting waste from oceans and reducing harm to marine life. 

Even now, at the early stages of the brand development, we have already mapped out how to actively support a number of ocean protection NGOs and even how to establish one ourselves.
