VXN is building a new model for women’s football in which sponsors fund high quality tailored kits so grassroots teams receive them for free

I’m a dad to two young girls who love football.

Watching them play, I’ve seen just how quickly the women’s game is growing. But I’ve also seen the gaps that still exist at grassroots level.

Like so many girls across the UK, they’ve had to wear kits designed for boys. Kits that don’t fit properly, don’t feel right, and don’t reflect the players wearing them.

On top of that, many teams and families are still expected to pay for kits themselves. For some, that becomes a real barrier to entry.

At the same time, I’ve spent years around business and understand how brands think.

Brands are constantly looking for better ways to connect with people. They want visibility, they want to be part of communities, and they want to show up in ways that feel real.

In many ways, they are simply looking for better billboards.

That is where the idea for VXN came from.

What if we could connect those two problems and solve both at the same time?

Instead of teams paying for kits, sponsors fund them.

Teams receive high quality, female first kits for free.

Brands gain real visibility, worn week in, week out, at the heart of grassroots communities.

It is a simple idea, but one that can scale.

Starting with a small number of teams, the goal is to grow VXN into a network of hundreds, and eventually thousands, of teams across the UK and beyond.

Every new team increases the reach, the visibility, and the impact.

This is just the beginning.

As VXN grows, the brand expands beyond football into women’s training wear, lifestyle sportswear, and performance apparel across multiple sports.

What starts on the pitch becomes something much bigger.

This is not just about kits.

It is about removing barriers, building confidence, and creating a platform that supports the future of women’s sport from the ground up.

And giving every girl the chance to play in something designed for her, without cost being the reason she cannot.
